What is your home city?

Who Are You?

Montreal, Canada

I am a Canadian photographer and explorer who’s ready to risk it all to document places the public can’t go. This passion is a major part of my life, every day I am planning new missions I want to complete.

What is a memory attached to one of the images shared?

One early morning in Paris, I was meeting a small group of friends in the La Défense neighbourhood with a plan to climb the tallest crane in France at the time. When we arrived at the site, we noticed other groups of explorers hoping to do the same. After organizing with the others, we made the decision to try entering all together. The first attempt was interrupted by an angry security guard. My four friends and I decided to try another way. While the security guard was busy chasing the other groups, we found an entrance to the building. We ended up being the only group that made it to the top of the crane that morning and it truly felt like we conquered the city. A morning far from home that I won’t forget.

What’s in your bag?

I always was a Canon user. I use a Canon 6D and different lenses to stay creative: 24-70mm f2.8, 24mm f1.4, 14-24mm f2.8

Did photography lead you to exploring or vice versa?

Why do you explore?

Exploring came first. I always liked climbing interesting structures and small rooftops. Soon after, I started focussing on the tallest buildings in my city. After my roof topping phase, I became attracted to the world beneath our feet and I found myself exploring metro tunnels in different cities around the world.

I explore mostly for the beauty of these places. Photographs satisfy the creativity side of this hobby, but to experience these places in person is something that I cannot describe. My work allows me to document memories and look back at these adventures, but images don’t do justice to the beauty of some of these areas.
